Champions Asante Kotoko moved to second place on the Glo Premier League table after a 3-0 win over Real Tamale United at the Baba Yara Stadium on Monday night.
Striker Alex Asamoah scored twice and a goal from midfielder Stephen Manu handed the Porcupine Warriors their fourth win of the campaign.
Asamoah finished off a fine move with Louis Agyeman in the 73rd minute when he slotted home the opener.
Manu rounded up two defenders and consolidated Kotoko's lead with the second.
Asamoah put the game beyond RTU with seven minutes remaining on the clock when his thunderbolt from 35-yards beat the goalkeeper.
Kotoko are now four points behind Hearts of Oak whom they play next at the Baba Yara Stadium.
