Kumasi Asante Kotoko have shortlisted three local coaches and an expatriate to head its technical team.
The Porcupine Warriors beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 in the last game of the MTN Top tournament in Accra on Sunday.
The short-listed coaches include E.K Afranie, Bashiru Hayford, Paa Kwesi Fabin and Briton Steve Pollack.
Kotoko are determined to sign an experienced coach to bring back their winning ways.
A source told GUIDE SPORTS that Paa Kwesi Fabin is likely to be appointed as the coach of the club.
This paper has also gathered that E.K Afranie and Bashiru Hayford have turned down the offer because they believe Kotoko fans are impatient.
Briton Steve Pollack managed King Faisal for two seasons and knows the Ghanaian game very well.
A new coach would replace Herbert Addo, who was denied a contract extension by the club after he successfully guided the club to finish second in last season’s Glo Premier League.
According to Joy Sports, the Assistant coach of the club, Johnson Smith has asked the club’s management to appoint him as the substantive head coach after he led the club to beat rivals, Hearts at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.
