A group of irate youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kumawu Constituency of the Ashanti Region have stormed the party's constituency office, causing significant property damage.
Computers, chairs, tables, and vital documents were vandalised.

The incident is linked to internal party conflicts over the selection of a District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu.

Secretary for the constituency, Suale Orlanto Yakubu, spoke to the media following the disturbances in the audio below.
In the Talensi constituency of the Upper East region, there were similar disturbances by some disgruntled foot soldiers who opposed the President's nominee.

JoyNews' Albert Sore reported that the attack may have been carried out by party foot soldiers disgruntled over the nomination of John Millim Naabwomya as the District Chief Executive (DCE).
