The Kwahu East District in the next couple of months, will see most of the outstanding projects completed to improve lives of the people.
In view of this the District Chief Executive, saac Agyapong, together with his Coordinating Director, Emmanuel Kissi, District Engineer and Assembly Members recently embarked on an inspection of seven projects in the District which were funded with the assembly’s common fund and District Development Fund.
Isaac Agyapong recently performed the sod-cutting of a series of projects which were scheduled to be completed within six months.
The contractors were urged to employ 75% of the local people in executing the projects.
The projects include a CHPS Compound at Kwahu Nteso, a 30-Bed Capacity Ward at St. Joseph Clinic at Kwahu Tafo, a 3-Unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Nkwatia SDA primary school, a 3-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Oboyan D/A JHS and a 10-seater KVIP at Asikam. The rest are the renovation works at Pepease Presby Primary and the expansion of Akwasiho CHPS compound.
Interacting with the people of Kwahu Tafo during an inspection of a 30-Bed Capacity Ward for St. Joseph's Clinic, the DCE expressed satisfaction to work being done.
He said the work was over 60% complete while renovation work of Pepease Presby Primary has been completed, and the ultra modern CHPS compound at Nteso is 90% complete”.
The contractor in charge of the St. Joseph Clinic project, Master Hand Constructions, stated the project will be completed within the six months.
