Nations FC staged a late comeback to secure a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea in their Matchday 27 Ghana Premier League clash at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
After a tightly contested first half failed to produce a goal, it was the visitors who struck first shortly after the break. Samuel Tenadu found the back of the net in the 56th minute, capping off a well-worked move to give Berekum Chelsea a crucial lead on the road.
The away side looked set to carry all three points home as they held firm for much of the second half. However, Nations FC showed resilience in the closing stages, with Brandon Antwi stepping up in the 85th minute to fire home the equaliser and deny Chelsea a valuable victory.
The result keeps Nations FC’s impressive home unbeaten streak intact, although they remain in the lower half of the league table. They will be hoping to turn draws into wins when they face title contenders Bibiani Gold Stars in their next outing.
Berekum Chelsea, meanwhile, edge up to 14th place on the standings, sitting just two points above the relegation zone. They will look to strengthen their survival bid when they host Aduana Stars in their next fixture.
