The venue nightmare of Baseball followers in the country will soon be over with a proposed stadium to be constructed at the University of Ghana, Legon.The facility will be a giant step at restructuring, reorganization and the development of the sport in the country.Dr. Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, Director of Sports at the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports told the GNA Sports that officials of the premier university have accepted to release a parcel of land for the project.He said that officials of the United States-based Baseball team, New York Mets and Yankees will provide the funding for the stadium. The U.S team will conduct a feasibility study at the site on Monday upon their arrival in the country on Friday. A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between both parties after which works on the development of the site will commence. The only Baseball pitch in the country is the Evergreen Park at Tema Community Four.
