Nine persons — seven males and two females — have been remanded in prison custody over the alleged murder of the twins whose skulls and skeletal remains were found in a septic tank at Tsito, near Ho, last Sunday. This is to enable Alex Dzankuma, the owner of the uncompleted building behind which the remains were found, Alex Kwako Sunu, the caretaker, and seven others to assist the police in their investigations. The other seven are Adeku John Annang, Sebrenu Alfred, alias Kanabo Kwako, Dogbey Worlanyo, Kavi Kafui Kwadzo, alias Ayidzoe Kwadzo, Kpeteme Kpasra, Esinam Adeku and Mama Afagbedzi. They have been charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and abetment of crime and are to re-appear before the court on June 10, 2008.Two other persons, said to be at large, have been identified as Daniel Prebi, said to be the brain behind the dastardly act, and Sekle Kpasra. The prosecution said the twins — Benjamin Atta Bani and Joseph Kuma Bani — were reported missing in January this year and police investigations led to the arrest of five persons for allegedly abducting the victims.According to the police, the information at that time was that Adeku had led the twins to Prebi, who, with other accomplices, conspired and agreed for the twins to be sold in Togo for ritual purposes.Upon a tip-off however, the skulls were found by the police in a septic tank behind an uncompleted building on the outskirts of Tsito last Sunday.Source: Daily Graphic
