The Electoral Commission announced on Thursday that nomination forms for prospective candidates who wish to contest the presidential election would be available for collection at the Head Office of the Commission in Accra from September, 26.It said prospective candidates for the parliamentary election would collect their nomination forms at the constituency and district offices of the Electoral Commission from Monday September 29.A statement signed by Mr Albert Kofi Arhin, Director of Elections, said applicants are nominations for the presidential and parliamentary elections would be received between October 16 and 17 between 9.00 am to 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm daily.The nomination fee for the presidential elections will be received at the Head Office of the Commission together with a filing fee of GH¢5,000.Nominations for the parliamentary elections will be received at the constituency and district offices together with a filing fee of GH¢500.Source: GNA
