Workers who undergo regular chiropractic care are likely to have an upper hand in productivity at the workplace.
That’s according to Dr Naa Asheley Ashietey, Chief Executive Officer of Nova Wellness Centre.
She says increased productivity can result in a positive impact on the business bottom line, because industry requires a significant amount of physical labor, resulting in muscle pain and repetitive strain injuries among employees.
She believes Chiropractic care can help reduce the number of lost work hours due to injury or illness, further improving the overall financial stability of the business organization.
“In the 21st century, everyone sits behind the computer. People sit 8 to 10-hours a day. You will have poor posture the more you sit. A lot of people are developing spine problems.
“Research conducted worldwide during the covid era, shows 80% may have experienced back pain. We associate this with the industrial workers. There’s high stress levels, long hours as they have to keep their KPIs,” she revealed.
Nova Wellness Centre has opened a new branch in Kumasi, providing advanced treatment options like non-surgical spinal decompression for the relief of neck and lower back pain as well as sciatica and its related issues.

Dr Naa Ashietey says an added benefit of chiropractic care is the reduction of health care costs.
By offering this wellness care, manufacturers can minimize costs associated with employee healthcare, help treat injuries, provide pain relief and more without the need for expensive procedures and prescriptions.
“Chiropractic is key for this group of people. How are they going to manage the pain, if they have to still sit and work? Yes, some people may want to resort to drugs or surgeries. But the research shows that using structural corrections like spinal decompression, chiropractic care, has been more effective in treating these problems,” she explained.
The Nova Wellness Center develops treatment plans by using technology and innovative treatment protocols to treat spine and joint problems.
Other services provided are spa treatments like massage, regenerative medicine and corporate wellness programmes that support corporate workers in maintaining their health, productivity and safety.
