The Eastern Regional First Vice-Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on party faithful to concentrate on the establishment of NASARA Clubs to champion the campaign of the NPP in the Zongo communities.NASARA Club is a political wing of the NPP, which concentrates on party activities in the Zongos.Alhaji Umar Bodinga, who made the call, explained that the improvement of NPP votes among Zongo communities is very important for the victory of the party in the 2012 General Election instead of the time and resources being wasted on the choice of a running mate to the Flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo- Addo. This was contained in his New Year message to members and sympathisers of the party, copied to the Ghana News Agency in Koforidua.Alhaji Bodinga noted that the choice of a running mate is the prerogative of the party’s Presidential Candidate and some leading members of the NPP who should be left alone to do their work.He said the party should concentrate its energies on areas where it could mobilise more votes to win the elections. He said a study of previous elections shown improvement in the results of the party in the Zongo communities hence the need for the NPP to form more NASARA clubs to improve upon its campaigns among the communities.
