The Campaign team of Boakye Agyarko has denied media reports that he has stepped down for Francis Addai Nimo to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s main flagbearer elections scheduled for November 4.
According to the team, those reports are "totally false" and should be disregarded completely.
"It has come to the attention of Hon. Boakye Agyarko that Time FM 97.7 and Asaase Radio have shared a flyer on social media suggesting that he has stepped down for another contender, Mr Addai Nimo."
"It should be placed on record that the post by the FM station is TOTALLY FALSE."

Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, came first in the New Patriotic Party’s Super Delegates Congress.
The Super Delegates Congress was organised to elect five presidential aspirants to contest the party’s primaries in November this year.
This was after 10 candidates picked up forms to contest the NPP’s presidential primaries which is scheduled for November 4.
After the collation of 16 out of the17 polling centres across the country, the Vice President has come out on top with 67.10% of total votes cast, followed by Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong who accrued 14.15% of total votes cast.
Former Trades Minister, Alan Kyerematen came third with 10.85% of the total votes cast, and former Agric Minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto came fourth with 4.01%.
There is however a tie as Francis Addai Nimoh and former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, both got 1.03 percent of the total votes cast.
The two are thus scheduled to go for a run-off on Saturday, September 2.
