Professionals in the banking and financial services sector in the northern sector of Ghana have an opportunity to enroll in an advanced managerial skills development training programme.
Beginning August 2012, the Osei Tutu II Centre for Executive Education & Research (OTCEER) in Kumasi will offer tailor made programmes to meet the needs of companies and other individual professionals.
A statement issued by Executive Director of the Centre, Professor Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, said the training programmes are targeted at “both existing and potential staff in the financial services industry”.
The programme will afford trainees an in-depth knowledge of the various functions in the financial services industry and build foundational skills to integrate these functions across the entity; offer an opportunity to examine new techniques and technologies for driving results throughout the entity; and formulate a holistic approach to identifying problems, formulating solutions, and adapting to change.
“Our team of resource personnel for OTCEER programmes is a hybrid of academics and accomplished industry professionals”, said the release. “The academics bring on board relevant breadth and depth to ensure that the content of our programmes is commensurate with the latest research and knowledge, while the industry professionals complement with real world and banking industry specific applications of concepts”.
The programme is sponsored by Diageo, Heineken and Unilever.
The Centre currently offers a number of Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Executive Education Programmes.
