The Legon campus of the University of Ghana played host to over 7,000 women from the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana and beyond for a prayer conference themed "Fill My Cup, Lord: Set Free and Send".

The conference, which took place from September 23 to 28, 2025, brought together women from the North-Central Ghana Union Mission, Mid-Ghana Union Conference, Southern Ghana Union Conference, and some women from Nigeria and Togo.

Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, urged religious bodies to support the government's resetting agenda, particularly the Clean Ghana campaign.
She praised the Seventh-day Adventist Church for its social services, including schools and medical facilities, and donated GHC 10,000 to support the event.
The conference received goodwill messages from academia, politicians, and clergy.

Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Roey Gilad, requested prayers for Israel, while Dr Omobonike Adeola Sessou, General Conference Women's Ministries Associate Director, emphasised the importance of togetherness and faith.

She encouraged women to be agents of change and support young women in the ministry.
Dr Sessou stated that with faith, women can move mountains and encouraged them to continue having faith in the Lord.

The conference marked a significant moment for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana, with the last such gathering held about 15 years ago.
