Ghana defender John Pantsil has been appointed as the racial awareness ambassador for his English club Fulham.
He has also been made the face of the club in their latest media brochure because of his commitment to Fulham and impressive displays.
Pantsil has won the hearts of fans of the club since he joined the top flight side from rivals West Ham at the start of the season.
His first assignment was to mentor kids at the Fulham Cross School for the Premier League's award-winning racial awareness programme.
The objective is to redress the lack of ethnic participation in football activities, including attending matches, and also to increase the size of black and Asian representation at coaching and administration level.
Fulham's win over Newcastle last Saturday catapulted them out of the bottom three and into the top half of the table, and Pantsil is desperate to avoid a relegation fight.
"We weren't happy to be in the bottom three because we knew we belonged in the top ten," said Pantsil.
"We don't want to find ourselves there (near the bottom). We are going to keep our heads together and work hard so we can achieve it."
Pantsil is confident that Fulham can pick up another victory against a resurgent Tottenham side this weekend.
He said: "We fight together, we work together and play for our colleagues, so we believe we can take the maximum three points."
