Legislator for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini, has also petitioned the parliamentary committee investigating bribery allegations against two Members of Parliament and a minister demanding to be heard on the matter.
His petition follows a similar request by MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Joy News understands Mr Suhuyini has written to the chairman of the investigative committee, Joe Ghartey, demanding an opportunity to be at the ongoing committee hearing.
In the letter to the committee, Mr. Suhuyini says he has information that would help the committee get to the bottom of the issue, and he would be ready to appear at its public hearings to state his case.
On Monday four witnesses, including Bawku Central MP Mahama Ayariga, who is the principal accuser, testified before the committee.
He reiterated his allegation that Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, attempted to bribe MPs with GHC 3,000 through the chairman of Parliament’s Appointment Committee, Joseph Osei-Owusu.
Mahama Ayariga claimed on Monday during the hearing that he was clear in his mind when Majority Chief Whip Muntaka Mubarak disclosed to him the money was from Boakye Agyarko.
Muntaka Mubarak, however, has also denied the claim, expressing shock at the allegation.
Mr. Boakye Agyarko also said he had no business bribing members of the Appointment Committee because he was confident the House was set to approve his nomination.
During yesterday's hearing also, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa denied claims by Chairman of the appointment’s committee that he withdrew the allegation at a meeting of some members of the committee.
