The Peasant Farmers Association has predicted food shortage next year due to challenges with accessing fertilizers and exportation of some food products to neighbouring countries.
Experts in the Agricultural industry have therefore advised government to store enough food this year.
Meanwhile, some sections of the general public have bemoaned high prices of foodstuffs, but Deputy Agric Minister, Yaw Frimpong has assured that prices of foodstuffs will normalise after the next harvesting season.
Tonight on PM Express, host, Evans Mensah interacted with Mr Yaw Frimpong, Dr Charles Nyaaba, Head of Programmes and Advocacy of Peasant Farmers Association, Edward Kareweh, General Secretary of General Agricultural Union Workers (GAWU) and Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Chamber of Agribusiness, Anthony Morrison.
