Retired legends in the English Premier League are set to play a peace match in Ghana with the retired Black Stars legends to create awareness for peace in the December elections.
Dubbed Playing for Peace, the match will also be in honour of the late President John Mills.
The peace match is being organized by Generation 7 Koncept, an idea generation and events organisation company in collaboration with Joy Sports.
The British Council, with specific reference to the International Inspiration Project is also part of the (PFP)project.
The EPL legends are expected in the country on September 13 and will engage in series of activities to create awareness for peace in the elections.
They will embark on a float through the principal streets of Accra and proceed to the Odododiodio Constituency for a short durbar with the youth.
On Saturday September 15, it will be a football rally at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra with the EPL legends playing a select ex-Black Stars legends.
All political party representatives will be present at the stadium to give their firm commitment to peace in the December elections.
Party supporters are free to wear their political party paraphernalia to support their party candidates whilst enjoying the beautiful game of football by the legends.
