The French captain underwent medical in the early hours of Tuesday ahead of his unveiling and passed the tests before proceeding to the offices of the Bernabeu to sign his official contract.
Mbappe was in the company of Madrid President Florentino Perez, who also took the forward to the trophy room.
Former Real Madrid players Zinedine Zidane, Santiago Solari and Raul Gonzalez were all present for the unveiling at the Bernabeu.
