Two people have been killed in separate armed robberies at Buduburam and Opeikuma near Kasoa in the Central Region.
Kasoa District Police Commander, Superintendent Kweku Asare who confirmed the Tuesday incidents to Joy News said a patrol team from Accra has joined the police in the Central Region to beef up security.
He asked the public to be on the lookout and inform the police of suspicious characters following what residents say are increasing criminal activities in the area in recent times leading to the curtailment of movements at night.
They say the robbers operate in military uniforms and often mount roadblocks before raiding various houses.
The bodies of the deceased; a man and a woman have been deposited at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital mortuary.
