Management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, David Serebour Boateng has pleaded with owner of the Club; Otumfo Osei Tutu II to sack the entire board and management members without excluding him (Serebour) for lack of commitment to their assigned jobs.
The current Board and Management members of the club have come under intense pressure from their fans after their exit from the CAF Champions league and allegations of their incompetency to renew contracts of some key players including Striker Yahaya Mohammed who is said to have signed for Libyan side Ittihad Tripoli.
Boateng who acts as a deputy Accra rep of Kotoko in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports show pleaded with the live patron of the club, Otumfo to take a drastic decision by sacking all Board and Management members.
“I think it’s time Otumfo takes the club from this Board and management including myself, it is just sad since there are only two board members, Alhaji Lamin and Champion who contribute money to run Kotoko. The board is just not in charge and it’s very serious. I think it is in the interest of the club and the leaders of the club to resign honourably or Nana should sack all of us and bring different set of people to manage the club.”He added
Asante Kotoko is currently in the western region ahead of their outstanding First Capital Premier League game against Medeama SC tomorrow on Thursday..
