Detectives in Ghana swooped to arrest Arthur Simpson-Kent, wanted for the murder of his partner Sian Blake and their two children, Zachary, eight, and Amon, four.
This the moment the manhunt for the suspected killer of a former Eastenders actress and her two sons came to a dramatic end in Ghana this afternoon.
Around 10 police officers in Ghana swooped to arrest Arthur Simpson-Kent after he was found hiding among rocks in a coastal town.
It is understood officers were tipped off by locals near the town of Takoradi.
Simpson-Kent was wanted for the murder of his partner Sian Blake and their two children, Zachary, eight, and Amon, four.
Captured: Arthur Simpson-Kent was arrested hidden amongst some rocks along the coast of Ghana
They descended on a town in the western region of the country, where Simpson-Kent, 48, was hiding out.
He had been wanted since the bodies of Sian, Zachary and Amon were found on Tuesday, buried in shallow graves in their own back yard.
Interpol put out an international alert for his arrest on Thursday night and Met officers arrived in Ghana yesterday, where Simpson-Kent was born.

Discovered: The bodies of Sian's sons Zachary and Amon were also discovered
Ghanaian police followed his trail west from the capital Accra, ending today some 150 miles further along the coast.
It is thought Simpson-Kent will spend the night in the custody of Interpol before being handed over to Scotland Yard, who hope to put him on a flight back to the UK as soon as possible, even as early as Monday.
They died from “head and neck injuries”, a post-mortem found, before being hidden in their own garden.

Murder squad detectives began digging behind the family’s home in Erith, Kent, on Tuesday morning, making the grisly discovery within hours.
Sian was last seen by her family when she visited with her boys on December 13. On December 16, officers spoke to Simpson-Kent at the couple’s home in Erith, Kent, and the three were officially reported missing.
Simpson-Kent was himself listed as a ‘high-risk missing person’ when officers went back to the house on December and broke in when there was no sign of him.

Discovery: The bodies of Sian and her two children were found on Tuesday
Neighbours thought the family may have run away together to spend one last Christmas alone after signs that Sian’s dehabilitating motor neurone disease was taking over her, leaving her looking “very thin and frail”, said one.
The missing persons investigation was handed over to the Met’s major crime team on Monday.
The police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission, has launched an inquiry into the original handling of the case and why it took three weeks before the bodies were found.
A Met Police spokesman said: "Detectives have today, Saturday, 9 January, been made aware of an arrest in Ghana.
"We are currently working alongside the Ghanaian authorities but are not in a position to discuss further at this time."
