The SOS Children's Villages project in Ejisu has brought about positive changes in the lives of a minimum of 1,110 children, 173 young individuals, and 336 families in the last five years.
The project, designed to mitigate poverty and address the challenges faced by residents, has proven to be remarkably advantageous.
At an event marking the culmination of the five-year initiative in the Ejisu Municipality, Alexander Mar Kekula, the National Director of the organization, underscored the project's vital contribution to assisting children and the youth to achieve their aspirations.

He emphasised, "As we depart from our existing communities, we must pause and commemorate the accomplishments, the hurdles we surmounted, and, most significantly, the lives that were positively impacted and changed through our combined endeavours."
He expressed that through their united determination and commitment, they have fortified families, enabled communities, and elevated the lives of 1,110 children, 173 TVET youth, and 336 families.
He highlighted that a comprehensive total of 395 families, encompassing participants in the solidarity fund project, received grants to either launch new ventures or expand existing ones.

He stated, "We are delighted to announce that 205 youth in TVET were assisted with start-up tools to facilitate the initiation of their endeavours."
Bernard Amoako, the programmes director of the organization, highlighted that the project, spanning the last five years, has significantly influenced numerous lives. This impact includes the establishment of 10 village savings and loan associations in Kubease, Adadientem, Onwe, Assienimpong, and Ejisu communities.
Amoako emphasised that the initiative additionally brought benefits to 300 teachers through in-service training and impacted 6,352 pupils in various schools. He remarked, "About 480 children from 16 child rights clubs have been established and positively influenced within communities and schools."

Samuel Oduro Frimpong, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu, underscored the project's significance in the area's development. He emphasised that the government, on its own, cannot meet all the community's needs and commended the organization for its efforts. Frimpong pledged government's support to ensure the success of the next phase of the project.
Several beneficiaries conveyed their gratitude to SOS Children's Villages for aiding them in realizing their dreams.
