The Southern Volta Schools, an umbrella union of second cycle schools in the southern part of the Volta Region is set to hold fun games at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.The Fun Games which will be held on Wednesday, May 25, according to the organizers, will attract participation from old students of schools such as Ketasco, Ketabusco, Anseco, Sogasco, Spaco, Zico and Dzosec.The event would be held under the theme “Networking for Development”, and will have the Minister of Youth and Sports and Member of Parliament for Anlo, Clement Kofi Humado as the special guest of honour.Other high profile citizens of the Volta Region are expected to grace the event.This year’s event follows a highly successful event last year and organizers say they are optimistic of achieving the purpose for the games.The games start at 7am and would run throughout the day. Activities would include football, basketball and volley ball.The Southern Volta Schools Fun Games is supported by the FC Beauty Clinic, Safina Mineral Water, Esidem Hospital and Sputnik Travels.The Southern Volta comprises six administrative districts - the Keta Municipality, Ketu South and North districts, Akatsi district and the North and South Tongu districts.
