Sulley set for Ghana return

Sulley Muntari is looking forward to playing a part in Ghana’s next game in the qualifiers for the 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup, when he returns for match action after missing the second group game against Lesotho. The Black Stars midfielder was forced out of Sunday’s game in Bloemfontein against Lesotho because of a toe injury. Having recovered after treatment, the Portsmouth player says he is ready to play in the next game, which is against Gabon in Libreville this weekend. “I am fine now and ready to play. I had a surgery and my toe is fine. I hope to be part of the next game,” Sulley said on Sunday. The midfielder who watched Ghana’s 3-2 win over Lesotho from the sidelines says the closing stages of the game was daunting. “They (Black Stars) played well but they (Lesotho) came back in the closing stages of the game. “It was a little bit scary. “But they (Black Stars) played well and we deserved it,” said Muntari after the game in Bloemfontein. Ghana made a wining start to their African zone Group 5 qualifying campaign with a 3-0 win over Libya in Kumasi and continued another victory, this time a 3-2 win in Bloemfontein against Lesotho.
