The Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association( GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara has described the Tamale Stadium as the cleanest Stadium compared to the three remaining stadia in the country ahead of the Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea.
The Black Stars will host the Syli Nationale in the Northern regional capital for the first time since the edifice was constructed in 2007 and was used for AFCON 2008
The team received a rousing welcome from the locals and Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara has been impressed by the facility despite the floodlights refusal to illuminate last night during the team's first training session.
“One observation I have made is that Tamale is Ghana’s best stadium at the moment. If you look at the facilities at the stadium and how they keep maintaining the structure is very good and everything is in perfect shape.
“I learnt they keep cleaning all the seats every week and so everything is very neat. The scoreboard is working in shape and the pitch is also lush green, I would say they have really looked after the facility very well.”He added.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars will train for the last time on Tuesday @ 3pm whiles their Guinean counterparts will also have a feel of the pitch just ahead of the showdown which kick starts @ 4pm on Wednesday
