Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko, a former presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has voiced grave concerns over the current direction of the party’s ‘Thank You’ Tour, urging its leadership to take immediate steps to realign the initiative with its intended purpose.
In a statement issued on Sunday, 28th April, Agyarko criticised how the tour, originally designed to rekindle grassroots engagement and restore public confidence, has been conducted.
According to him, rather than promoting unity, the tour is deepening internal rifts within the party.

“What was intended to restore our party’s shine and reconnect us with the grassroots is instead unravelling into bouts of discord, blame-shifting, and internal strife.
"This regrettable turn of events threatens to inflict serious collateral damage on the very fabric of our party,” he cautioned.
Mr Agyarko further warned that the festering divisions could undo the goodwill the NPP has cultivated over the years.
He called on the party's leadership to “apply the brakes and reassess the direction of the Thank You Tour,” and urged a shift towards meaningful reconciliation and solidarity.
“Let us seize this moment to renew our collective resolve and ensure that the mission of the Thank You Tour is accomplished in a manner worthy of our party’s proud legacy,” he concluded.
