The 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bole-Bamboi, Raphael Kumah Abolasom, has launched a strategic constituency-wide engagement aimed at bolstering party numbers ahead of a critical membership registration exercise.
The three-day tour, which spanned all 27 electoral areas in the Savannah Region constituency, saw the candidate meeting with polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, and various youth groups to synchronise grassroots efforts for the 2024 general elections.

Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, Mr. Abolasom extended his outreach to the Muslim community, emphasising the importance of spiritual support for the party’s success. As part of his visit, he donated 55 bags of 50kg sugar to be distributed among polling station executives, youth groups, and the wider Muslim fold.
In a telephone interview, the Parliamentary Candidate explained that the tour served a dual purpose of gratitude and preparation.

“Yes, knowing what lies ahead of us regarding the party’s quest to bring in more committed members to our fold, I initiated a move and visited all 27 electoral areas of our constituency towards the party’s membership registration exercise and to conclude the final lap of thank-you tour and to present my widow’s mite to our brothers and sisters during the holy month of Ramadan,” Mr. Abolasom stated.
The candidate’s message to the constituents focused on unity and the upcoming internal party registration. He urged party members to remain focused on the goal of retaining executive power, requesting their intercession during this period of fasting.

“I further used the opportunity to request that they keep the party in their prayers as we journey back to the Jubilee House,” he added.
Mr. Abolasom’s entry into the Bole-Bamboi parliamentary race has been noted by political observers for revitalising the youth wing of the NPP in the district.
His campaign has largely shifted the local political discourse toward a contest of ideas, focusing heavily on youth empowerment and sustainable development for the area.

As the party prepares to open its register for new members, the candidate’s proactive "ground-running" approach is seen as a vital move to consolidate the NPP's presence in a traditionally competitive constituency.
