Three suspected armed robbers (from left), Ibrahim Fuseini, 20, Yaw Konadu, 28, alias Akobam and Alex Asiedu, 22, all unemployed arrested at dawn on Monday at Kasoa New Town in the Central Region, during a joint Police/Military swoop on their hideout.
Briefing the Press, Superintendent Isaac K. Buabeng, the District Commander, said Konadu is a notorious armed robber who specializes in snatching of mobile phones and hand bags.
He said the three were found in possession of weapons such as axes, cutlasses and jack knives.
Mr. Buabeng said, some victims of robberies who went to the police station on hearing the news of Konadu’s arrest, identified him as a hardened criminal who has been pestering their lives.
