Stanbic Bank Ghana has signed a landmark $600,000 agreement with International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Mastercard to expand financial access and business support for women entrepreneurs and professionals across the country.
The collaboration, anchored on IFCās Banking on Women programme, is expected to strengthen the bankās capacity to deliver targeted, gender-responsive financial solutions. It also aims to deepen support systems that enable women to grow businesses, take leadership roles and scale their economic impact.
At a signing ceremony in Accra, leaders from the three institutions stressed their shared goal of promoting inclusive growth and equipping women with the tools, capital and networks needed to thrive in Ghanaās evolving economy.

Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Ghana, Kwamina Asomaning, said the partnership reinforces the bankās commitment to inclusion.
āThis partnership deepens our commitment to inclusive growth by enhancing how we deliver targeted, gender-responsive financial solutions that enable women to drive meaningful economic impact,ā he said.

The initiative is expected to unlock new opportunities for women-led businesses and professionals by improving access to finance and tailored support services.
The three institutions say the partnership aligns with Ghanaās broader development agenda by ensuring women play a stronger role in driving economic transformation.

By combining global expertise with local market reach, the collaboration is positioned to support a more resilient, dynamic economy in which women are empowered to fully participate and lead.
