Top police officials are locked up in an emergency meeting reportedly triggered by the string of robberies that has sparked a public outcry.
Joy News sources have revealed the senior cops will discuss and map out a multi-faceted strategy to deal with the spate of crimes across the country.
There have been six robberies in the last two days leading to the death of at least two people - one in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region and another in Tema in the Greater Accra Region.

Reacting to the attacks, the government has put in place various measures aimed at increasing police and military visibility in the major cities.
Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid
There is also a plan to establish a national CCTV Command Centre to link all the cameras used by financial institutions, Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid told the media Thursday.
Minutes after the Minister's announcement, Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu reshuffled top police officials including Director of Operations, George Akuffo Dampare as part of the new security measures.
The police administration has also created a new unit to enhance its intelligence gathering known as Police Intelligence Unit.
But the new security measures and police shakeup have done little to convince some security experts about the government's readiness to combat crime.

Security lecturer with the Kofi Annan Intelligence Peacekeeping Centre (KAIPTC), Dr Kwesi Aning said there will be no need for the reshuffle of police officials if there is a national crime prevention strategy.
"Changing the men does not help when you don't have enough and when our ability to resolve crime is just 6 percent," he told Joy News.
But the police appear more determined to stem the tide of robberies and to prove a point after a section of Ghanaians called for the dismissal of the IGP over the attacks.
"All senior police officers are meeting to fight the spate of armed robberies," Joy News' Fred Smith who has been following the meeting said.
