The final funeral rites of Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo Baah will take place on Saturday, August 8, at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

The ceremony, which begins at 7:00 a.m., is expected to be attended by family members, friends, colleagues from the creative arts industry and other mourners who will gather to pay their last respects and celebrate her life.

The funeral programme will include a memorial service, during which mourners will have the opportunity to file past her remains and present tributes in her honour. She will later be laid to rest in a private burial ceremony.

A thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, at Action Chapel International in Tema, where family, friends and well-wishers will gather to reflect on her life and legacy.

Beverly Afaglo died on May 24, 2026 at the age of 42 after a two-year battle with cancer. Her death occurred shortly before her 43rd birthday.

Her passing was met with widespread grief across Ghana’s entertainment industry, with fans and colleagues remembering her contributions to film and her achievements as an entrepreneur.

The actress appeared in several Ghanaian films and television productions, including Single Six, A Northern Affair, The Game, Return of Beyonce, Crime to Christ, Girls Connection and Never Again.

Beyond acting, Beverly Afaglo built a reputation as a businesswoman through her food brand, Traffic Shawarma, which grew to operate multiple branches.

She is survived by her husband, musician Choirmaster, their daughters, her mother, siblings and other family members.
