Highlife musician, Rex Omar proved that the veterans still have the needed energy to compete with young artistes on stage.
At the Hero Concert on Friday at +233 Jazz Bar & Grill, Rex Omar mounted the stage again after his own performance to challenge Kuami Eugene.
The young artiste had just started performing ‘Angela’ when the veteran musician interrupted and asked the band to restart the song.
Rex Omar grabbed a microphone and performed Kuami Eugene’s ‘Angela’ tune while the young act watched with admiration.
Hero Concert is an initiative by Slip Entertainment and Lynx Entertainment designed to celebrate Highlife and Highlife musicians who have blazed the trail.
The event will see Kuami Eugene select a Highlife hero, each year, to celebrate for uplifting the genre.
This year’s concert had the young artiste performing songs by Rex Omar and other Highlife veterans.
