After weeks of competition at the National Theatre in Accra and also an impressive outdoor event at the Osu Oxford Street, the Vodafone ICONS Street Edition competition hits Kumasi Thursday.
With four contestants - Ryan, Marion, Kelvin and Buda - left in the competition and eyeing the ultimate prize package of GH¢250,000, tensions are high as they are expected to be at their best at Jubilee Park, near the Prempeh Assembly Hall, Kumasi.
Organizers said in statement that moving the competition from the National Theatre to the Osu Oxford Street, last weekend, and then to Kumasi this Thursday, was part of the show's "street" theme.
The statement explained that this season's edition dubbed "Street Edition" is for the streets and it is a perfect way to connect with fans on the streets.
"Fans in Kumasi will get to see the top four contestants perform live for them this Thursday," the statement added.
Last week at the Oxford Street, the four contestants performed several hit songs from some of their favourite reggae and dancehall artistes.
Ryan performed Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry and Inner Circle's Sweat while Marion thrilled with Bob Marley's Turn Your Lights Down Low and Man Down by Rihanna.
Kelvin gave a beautiful rendition of Bob Marley’s Redemption Song. He capped his performance with Daville and Sean Paul's Always on my Mind. Buda performed Bob Marley's Jamming and by Sean Paul's Gotta Love U.
