Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso scored a spectacular goal on his debut for Espanyol in a 3-0 pre-season friendly win over Palamos on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old unleashed 30-yard thunderbolt which beat substitute goalkeeper Matri after coming off the bench for the second half.
Wakaso was deployed as a left-back by coach Mauricio Pochettino but was later re-assigned as a left-winger.
He took very little time to impress in his new role and scored the screamer for Espanyol in the 83rd minute.
Dani Nieto scored a double in the 3rd and 33 minutes respectively.
Wakaso joined Espanyol this month on a four-year deal from relegated Villarreal.
