Scores of waste tankers, carrying human faeces, are said to have taken over the mortuary road that link the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to the Obetsebi-Lamptey Roundabout near Agblogbloshie in Accra.
The tanker drivers who are said to be mourning their colleague driver whose body they went to take custody of for burial are reported to have splashed human waste along a stretch of the road.
Their action has caused serious vehicular traffic in the area.
Residents feared the unbearable stench emanating from the toilets could have severe health implication on them with the recent announcement of outbreak of cholera, which has already claimed about 21 lives.
