The Motor Traffic and Transport Unit [MTTU] of the Ghana Police Service have arrested 12 drivers using mobile phones while driving in the Accra Metropolis.
The National MTTU Commander ACP Awuntubuge Awuni tells Asempa News that driving whiles talking on phone poses a threat to other road users and is tantamount to dangerous driving.
According to ACP Awuni very soon the 12 drivers will be arraigned before court for prosecution.
Meanwhile all Regional MTTU Commanders have been instructed to check this act in order to reduce road accidents in the country.
