Two people died on the spot Monday night when a Metro Mass bus plunged into a ditch at Kwame-Kyemfrom on the Kumasi-Sunyani highway.
Several people said to have suffered various degrees of injuries were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
District Police Commander DSP Vitus Napen told Joynews they received assistance from the Fire Service before they could remove the bodies of the two persons who were trapped under the bus.
DSP Napen stated that they suspected the driver may have lost control of the vehicle before skidding off the road and subsequently landing in the ditch.
