About 20 people who went to the Christlike Ministries church at Gbawe in Accra on Sunday, sustained injuries when the church building collapsed on them.
They are currently receiving medical attention at various health centres in the capital.
JoyNews' Maxwell Agbagba reported Monday, May 8, 2017, the makeshift church building sited in an uncompleted structure, collapsed on the worshippers following Sunday’s torrential rains.

About 20 plastic chairs on which the worshippers sat, were still buried under the rubble, Maxwell told Isreal Laryea, anchor of the Joy Midday News.
The injured are receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and the 37 Military Hospital.
The land on which the church building is sited was once a landfill site which was reclaimed a couple of years ago.
An eyewitness said the pillars holding the structure on which the temporary church structure was erected, was too weak to withstand the strong winds.

He warned more of such disasters would occur if the authorities concerned do not act.
He said several appeals for opinion leaders, including the Assembly member to come to their aid, have fallen on deaf ears.
