Instead of looking on for the traffic hold-up situation to persist and give them a daily headache, members of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of Korle Bu, have decided to tackle the situation from its source.
Officers from the outfit having identified potholes as the main cause of vehicular traffic in the area, have decided to go out of their way to fill the holes as a temporary measure.
Speaking to Adom FM’s Assisting News Editor, Listowel Fordjour, a member of the team, Sgt Lot Joseph Mensah, explained that potholes are the main reason for the traffic congestion on the Korle Bu-Mamprobi stretch of road.
It was upon that premise that the decision by the division’s commander to help fill the holes was made.
