Firefighters from the Adenta Fire Station have contained a major fire that broke out at the Pantang Trasaco Furniture factory near Oak Lounge in the early hours of Saturday, August 8, 2026.
The fire reportedly engulfed a warehouse and part of the furniture production facility, prompting a swift response from personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

Firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control before extinguishing it completely, preventing the fire from spreading to other parts of the facility and nearby properties.

Some finished woodwork and raw furniture materials were destroyed in the incident. However, the factory’s offices, key machinery and other critical equipment were successfully salvaged.

No casualties have been reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established and remains under investigation.
