Egypt will be hosting Sierra Leone in a warm-up match ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifying playoff against Ghana.
Egyptian FA official Ahmed Al-Gohari told reporters that the meeting has been arranged to take place at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo on September 28.
The announcement comes despite the Egyptian authorities’ reluctance to stage matches in Cairo or Alexandria.
Egypt prepare to visit Ghana on October 15 in Kumasi as the return leg takes place nearly a month later.
Meanwhile, Egypt manager Bob Bradley reached an agreement with Ahli to release their 11 internationals after the Sierra Leone match.
