Ghana’s key players served notice of their intention to crush Egypt in next week’s World Cup playoff clash in Kumasi by hitting top scoring form in Europe by scoring SIX GOALS, hours before their arrival in the country to prepare to take on the Pharaohs.
Sulley Muntari, who is in blistering scoring form in the Italian Serie A, headlined the virtuoso showing of the Black Stars over the weekend by scoring twice in their 3-2 defeat at the hands of rivals Juventus on Sunday night.
England-based winger Albert Adomah also scored for his club Middlesbrough and set up another as they demolished Yeovil 4-1 in the Championship on Saturday.
Mubabrak Wakaso also showed his hunger and preparedness for the matchagainst Egypt when he scored his first goal since joining Rubin Kazan in August and set up another in their 5-1 win on the big Russian derby against Anzhi Makhachkala on Sunday.
Kevin-Prince Boateng, who is doubtful for the 15 October match in Kumasi because of a knee problem, scored in Schalke’s 4-1 win over Augsburg in the German Bundesliga.
Marseille star Andre Ayew scored in the French derby against PSG even though they lost 2-1 to the high-spending Paris-based giants.
Others like Kwadwo Asamoah, Christian Atsu, Agyemang Badu andgoalkeeper Adam Kwarasey were all in impressive form for their clubs which has sparked fears among the Egypt squad.
Most of the players are expected to join the Black Stars squad on by Tuesday night as they start their preparation for the decisive clash against the Egyptians.
