Visiting Gamba All Blacks recorded a 2-1 victory over Real Sportive in the seventh week Onetouch Premier League match played at the El-Wak Stadium on Saturday.
Ironically it was Sportive who took the lead in the 13th minute through hardworking Hamza Abdulai but the early lead was cancelled 30 minutes later through an on goal, scored by defender Eric Owusu.
Owusu’s blunder came as a result of an attempt to head out a cross which ended falling into his own goal posts.
Both sides were unable to find the lead till the close of the first half.
All Blacks, on resumption found the back of the net, through Obed Owusu who raced through the midfield of the home team in a solo effort, before firing a mid air shot at the edge of the penalty box which Sportive’s keeper, John Adjetey had no answer to.
The goal eventually became the match winner even though Sportive in the dying minutes of the game mounted an intense pressure on All Blacks in search of the equalizer which however never materialised till the final whistle.Source: GNA
