Online Drivers Partners Association in Kumasi is calling for the suspension of payment of Verification of License and Roadworthy fee introduced by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).
Drivers using Uber, Bolt, Yango and other online ride-hailing applications say the ¢120 per year fee DVLA is charging them for the verification is unfair due to other charges they already pay.
At a press conference Thursday, the Association said it had sent petitions to all relevant authorities, including Ministry of Transport to suspend the fees for further discussion.
