Italian Serie A side Sassuolo have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana on a season-long loan.

Sulemana joins the club from Atalanta, penning a deal that will keep him at Sassuolo until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Sassuolo also have the option to buy the defensive midfielder at the end of the season should they be convinced by his performances.

The move will see the Ghanaian play for his fifth club in the last five years, having enjoyed stints at Hellas Verona, Cagliari, Atalanta and Bologna.

Sulemana enjoyed the first half of last season at Bologna before moving to Cagliari for the second half of the 2025/26 campaign. He made 16 appearances, scoring one goal.

Sulemana will be hoping to get minutes at his new club and regain a recall to the Black Stars team after missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
