The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China on Monday opened a book of condolence at its chancery to enable members of the public to express their sympathy to the government and people of China on the disaster that hit the South-western part of the country on May 12.
The book would be opened until Wednesday, May 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day

Yu-Wenzhe, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana said the Chinese Government had declared three days of national mourning for the victims, during which a nationwide display of respect for the dead would be observed.
It said: “The Embassy availed itself of the opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and NEPAD, Diplomatic and Consular Missions, UN Specialized Agencies and other International Organisations accredited to Ghana the assurances of its highest consideration.”
