The Kumasi High Court 7, presided over by Justice K.A. Pobee, has ordered the destruction of a large quantity of exhibits retrieved by the Ashanti Regional Police Command during various anti-robbery operations.
The items, which included mobile phones, pump action guns, locally manufactured pistols, Indian hemp, Cocaine, knives, cutlasses, talisman and live cartridges, were retrieved in separate swoops over the last three years, Mr. Samuel Adugu, Deputy Chief Registrar of the Court told the Ghana News Agency.
Mr. Adugu appealed to the public to report anybody suspected to have a questionable character to the Police.
He also called on people wishing to keep guns to register them, warning that it was illegal to keep an unregistered weapon.Source: GNA
