The national U-20 team, the Black Satellites were stranded at the Accra Sports Stadium where they are billed to play a friendly match on Wednesday morning because of a platform mounted on the pitch purported hired by the National Sports Authority.
The National Sports Authority(NSA) it appears are more interested in revenue acquisition than development of sports which should be their primary responsibility.
The Black Satellites were billed to take on a local side in a friendly as they continue preparation towards their 2015 Africa Youth championship qualifier against Gabon in two weeks.
The Ghana FA had informed the NSA of their programme but Coach Sellas Tetteh and his players were caught on camera stuck to the technical bench at the Stadium undecided on where they could play the game with the huge platform mounted on the pitch.
It is believed the platform belongs to one of the usual clients of the National Sports Authority who rent the sports facility for religious or entertainment programmes every now and then.
Whether raking in more revenue at the peril of the national team's inability to use the pitch, is the right thing to do remains unanswered.
Meanwhile efforts to reach the spokesperson of the NSA,Hamid Issaka has not been possible.
