Minister of Youth and Sports, Mahama Ayariga on Sunday hosted popular boxer cum commedian Braima Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku.
The two had lunch together after which the Minister used the occassion to also share his plans for boxing in the country.
DUring the interaction, the boxer express worry at the neglect of boxing and pleaded with government to step up efforts to develop the game since talents abound in the country.
In a response, Mr. Ayariga announced that efforts he has made since taking over as sector minister to put boxing back to the lime light in the country.
Accordiing to him, he has been in touch with Cuban government which has expressed interest to send trainers to Ghana once an agreement is reached.
Mr. Ayariga assured Banku that the government will give serious consideration to the sports as well as the men and women involved in it.
