Hearts of Oak have begun a justify-your-exercise to select players for their Under-17 team.
Newly-appointed coach Dauda Lutterodt got the exercise underway on Wednesday and expected to end on Friday.
The former Power FC and Great Olympics has been assisted by the senior team head coach Herbert Addo, Team Manager Sabahn Quaye and assistant coach Stephen Abugri.
He believes exceptional talents will be unearthed and honed for the first team.
“As a club, we have embraced the Under-17 policy the Football Association intends to implement,” Lutterodt told sportscrusader.com
“That is the way to go if we want to catch them young to feed the senior teams. We should not always be buying several players during every transfer period.
“As a team we should have a good foundation policy where we will groom players to feed the first team.
“With that, we will cut cost and it will also help us because our young players will understand our philosophy before they graduate to the first team which will make it easier to function in the first team.”
